CRIARTE was founded in 2000 with the main goal of promoting art experiences in Brazil.
The non-profit started activities in its headquarters in Niterói (Rio de Janeiro / Brazil), where for 3 years it promoted more than 50 theater shows, exhibitions, courses, workshops, and various events. Since 2003, through its partners, it has taken art and cultural experiences all over Brazil. Among its partnerships, we mention UNIRIO (the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro), Motrix Marketing (RJ), Canto da Viração (RJ), DNA Studio (SP), Singularte Produções (RJ), and international partnerships such as IBOC (International Brazilian Opera Company – New York / US), the Lasin Project (University of Glasgow and UNIRIO) and the Antioquia University (Medellín, Colombia).
MISSION
CRIARTE seeks to promote social and cultural transformation through art and culture.
Cultural Mission
- To spread all expression of art and culture, with special emphasis on Brazilian culture;
- Rescuing lost cultural identities and fostering less publicized genres;
- Stimulate the development of new artistic languages.

- Use art and culture as a tool for social inclusion;

- Create job opportunities and curate artistic productions.
PROJECTS
CRIARTE has a solid track record as a producer and curator of artistic productions in Brazil through our partners. During more than 20 years of history, it has developed productions of dance, theater, virtual reality, and courses, among other events.
